Beats Music
In some of the earliest wireframes for Beats Music we were experimenting with a UI pattern sometimes referred to as “natural language form” or “madlib style form”. We had gotten excited about it, it just had a certain playfulness to it even in its earliest incarnations. It would go on to serve as an intermittent and widely lauded template for music suggestion and onboarding in the Beats Music app. It turned some fun lines into playlists, while also taking some pressures off the need for providing exact music recommendations.
In May 2014 Beats Music and Beats Electronics sold to Apple for $3 billion
